I am a Registered Nurse and a Nutritionist with a BS degree in Natural Health Science with a major in Nutrition from Bastyr University. My passion is nutrition education with an emphasis on whole foods.
I completed my nursing degree in 1983 and have worked since I graduated as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse in a variety of Medical Centers throughout the country. Feeling like I accomplished everything I wanted to accomplish in nursing I decided to pursue another passion of mine, nutrition. I chose Bastyr University because I agree with their philosophy and whole foods approach to nutrition.
In addition to my private practice, I work as a health coach assisting individuals with chronic conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease, to live healthier lives.
I offer health coaching services in my private practice as well (both by e-mail and over the phone). I can work with most individuals, whether you have special dietary needs or you just want to learn how to eat healthier in order to achieve or maintain your optimal health.
